Changes due to Covid

Revolution Eyecare Opticians is committed to operating as safely as possible during the Covid pandemic. As a result, we have made changes to the way we operate.

We have been operating for essential eye care only, as routine eye care was not allowed, but are now starting to resume routine appointments. Where possible we will try to offer some services remotely. Contact lenses are currently available for direct to patient post.

Please do not attend the practice without phoning first. Access to the practice is by prior arrangement or pre-booked appointment only, including for collections and repairs (we may be able to deliver to your home).

At the appointment you will be required to:
• Wear a face covering at all times while in practice
• Sanitise your hands on entering the practice
• Stick to the social distancing rules set out in the practice

Please do not attend or attempt to enter the practice if you have any symptoms or suspicions you may have Covid.

We are not currently able to offer urgent or emergency eye care. Please call your GP, 111 or Royal Bolton Hospital on 01204 390390, if you have any urgent or emergency eye issues.

Operating hours will vary according to booked appointments. The phone line will remain active, even if the practice shutters are closed, so please call. If the shutters are up the practice door will remain locked. Please do not try to attend the practice without first calling to discuss your requirements. The number of people allowed in the practice at any given time will be limited.

For appointments and deliveries please knock or phone on arrival at the practice to gain entry.

Examinations will be conducted using PPE and with efforts to minimise proximity and contact. A thorough cleaning and disinfecting regime has been implemented. Changes have been made to the practice layout to aid with cleaning and infection control.

Our aim is to keep everyone as safe as possible whilst trying to offer the high level of service many have come to expect from us over the years. Please bear with us during these challenging times.
