Changes due to Covid

Revolution Eyecare Opticians is committed to operating as safely as possible during the Covid pandemic.  As a result, we have made changes to the way we operate.

Please try not to attend the practice without phoning first.  On certain days access to the practice is by prior arrangement or pre-booked appointment only, including for collections and repairs.  On these days, detailed below, the practice door may be locked to prevent unauthorised entry.  If the door is locked please knock or phone on arrival at the practice to gain entry.  The number of people allowed in the practice at any given time will be limited.  The phone line may be diverted even if the practice shutters are closed, so please call.

At any appointment you will be required to:

• Wear a face covering at all times while in practice
• Sanitise your hands on entering the practice
• Observe current social distancing guidelines

• Please do not approach within 2 meters of the reception desk unless advised
• Please stay behind the Perspex screens, DO NOT stand to the side, or lean around them
• Please avoid touching anything where possible
• Please use contactless payment if possible

Please try to arrive as near to your appointment time as possible.  If you arrive early you may be asked to come back nearer the time or to wait outside.  If too late we may have to rearrange for another time or even another day.

Please do not attend or attempt to enter the practice if you have any symptoms or suspicions you may have Covid.

We are not currently able to offer urgent or emergency eye care.  Please call your GP, 111 or Royal Bolton Hospital on 01204 390390, if you have any urgent or emergency eye issues.

Where possible we will try to offer some services remotely.  Contact lenses can be posted at a cost of £3 P&P if home delivery is specified when ordering.  We are not performing new contact lens fits at the present time.

Examinations will be conducted using PPE and with efforts to minimise proximity and contact.  A thorough cleaning and disinfecting regime has been implemented.  Changes have been made to the practice layout to aid with cleaning and infection control.  All staff have received vaccination against Covid-19.

Our aim is to keep everyone as safe as possible whilst trying to offer the high level of service many have come to expect.  Please bear with us during these challenging times.

Current Opening Times:

Monday, Tuesday, Thursday & Friday:  9.30am - 5.00pm
Wednesday & Saturday:   By appointment only
Sunday & Bank Holidays:  Closed

Please note we may occasionally have to close if staff members must isolate.   We have different staff working different days, so this will hopefully minimise any impact.   The phone lines will be diverted should this occur, so please call.
